The Texas Hold'em Tournament at the Buffalo Room last Sunday was a lot
of fun for all involved! There were 32 participants, and including
entry fees, donations from the winners and others, and the sale of
refreshments, the Library was able to raise $871! Special thanks go
out to Justin Britton, Shannon Britton, Ray Britton and Rose Gaye
Britton without whom we could not have organized the tournament and
who also spent the afternoon as dealers. We also owe thanks to
Barbara Wyre, Madeline Wade, Fran Wade, Deb Johnson, Joni Wilburn, and
Colleen Carter who provided refreshments for sale, helped out with the
sale of refreshments, and even helped with the management of the
tournament on Sunday. And let's not forget about Michael Mills, who
created the beautiful poster and flyer to publicize the event. Thanks
