If you have any photos to share on-line please let me know! These should be images related to the library, or events that have taken place there or on the new grounds of the COMMONS. They may also be shots of committee meetings, work groups, and functions that take place as we get the COMMONS up and running.
I'd prefer good resolution JPEGS, but if you have clear prints, I will be happy to scan them and get the originals back to you.
Hard copies and prints may be left off at the library with my name on the envelope or sent to

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
Web Page Committee
Three Stage Plan
I. Stop Gap Layout (up and running before next
meeting)
[Intent: to bring current page up to date, keep fast-loading format,
rearrange to make
information easier to find]
A. Correct current information:
Add "a member of the Mendocino Library System" under
logo
Dates and times open
B. Add pertinent basic information
Bookmobile section
Special programs section
Services available section
Friends of the Library section
History section
Location (with map)
II. Short Term Format (up and running before mid summer)
[Intent: to design a simple page that allows for easy add-ons
as committees expand
while remaining fast loading to accommodate dial-up clients]
III. Revised and Rejuvenated (available by early winter)
[Intent: to develop a new web page design, with a more contemporary
and attractive interface, with two avenues of approach - one Spartan,
trimmed down version for fast access; and one more graphic intensive
for those with satellite access. Both accessed through same library
welcome page.]
All information posted (with the exception of minor clerical details such as a change in the library hours posted, etc.) will be cleared through Georgina or Ed, or by someone they appoint in their stead.
Digital copies of the web files will be kept on file at the library and available to anyone with a legitimate reason to access them. All information posted, and all digital files will become the property of Friends of the Library. No individual will receive credit for web design or maintenance, as this is a community project.
We would like each committee to submit a brief
description of
what it is they do (goals as well as accomplishments),
who their committee members are, and a contact person,
how non-committee volunteers may help,
minutes of meetings,
and anything else you would like to have made public knowledge.
This information may be sent to John Marshall at John@JohnMarshall.to
